HyER 1k FM Hybrid Rocket Engine Vertical Hot Gas Test – June 2019

Due to shortage of staff recently, our social media channels where neglected. But during home office we found some time to catch up.

In June 2019 we successfully tested our rocket engine.
This was our fourth attempt to conduct our first vertical hotgas test of our hybrid rocket engine HyER 1k FM in flight configuration. Due to technical issues and bad weather conditions the first three attempts must be aborted.
Unfortunately after aproximately 180ms our nozzel broke due to high tensions along a 90° edge.
Nevertheless, we achieved a maximum thrust of 2,5kN.
